Our Curriculum

Our school provides the Victorian Curriculum for our students across all areas. Every school-age student accesses these subjects:

  • English
  • Mathematics
  • Humanities (History, Geography, Civics & Citizenship)
  • Health
  • Personal and Social Capabilities (Social-Emotional Learning and House Meetings)
  • Cooking
  • Woodwork

Our school provides specialist teachers for:

  • The Arts
  • Drama (Oral Language)
  • Science
  • Physical Education

Students in our junior classes also access a weekly swimming program.

Our senior students are also involved in our senior pathways programs, which includes Enterprise Education (School Lunch Program, Grounds and Maintenance, School Cafe, Crafts) and Work Experience. Some students are also involved in our Mini-Woolies Program to develop their supermarket employment skills.

The school also employs a tutor to support the reading development of students who require an increase focus and intensity in this area.

All teaching, learning and social/emotional areas of our school programs follow a Multi-Tiered System of Support (MTSS) model in ensuring that all student academic and personal needs are supported and addressed at all times. The school follows an explicit and direct instruction approach to teach students to learn and behave in positive, clear and consistent ways. All staff follow the principles of the science of learning to develop academic and personal learning goals for each individual student.
